This 1979 Ford F-150 Custom is a super nice, really clean truck
with a great look. This truck spent its life in Northern Florida
and Georgia before coming to Michigan where it was used as a summer
toy for the last owner who owned the truck for the last 3-4 years.
This was a summer toy and stored in the winters. We have the
original sales order, owners manual, and warranty tag that will
come with the truck.
The body on this truck is in excellent condition. It is very clean
and straight. The truck was professionally repainted in its
original color of Coral at some point and the paint is still in
excellent condition. They added new weatherstripping after it was
painted. The chrome is original and nice. The bed was bed-lined at
some point as well and is in great condition too. The underside is
clean on this truck and there is no evidence of rust. The driver
floor does have a patch where the feet would be and it was
professionally done and looks great. The rest is original and
solid.
The interior is in really nice condition. The seat was
reupholstered and looks new. The carpet and door panels were also
replaced recently and are excellent. The dash and dash bezel appear
to be original and are really nice. The headlights, taillights,
brakelights, and turn signals are all working. The gauges all work.
The horn and windshield wipers work. The heat and AC are also
working. It is a really nice original style interior.
Mechanically this truck is excellent and it runs and drives great!!
The engine is the 5.8L 351M V8 that runs strong with no issues or
red flags that we found. The last owner stated that the engine was
rebuilt by the person he purchased it from. There is a balancing
sticker and a machine shop sticker from a place in Florida in the
engine compartment. He was not sure when it was done. The engine
and engine compartment is really clean and it does have a new Carb
on it. Other new items include a ne AC compressor and new power
steering pump. The transmission is the C6 Automatic that shifts
nice and it is mated to the np205 transfer case. The 4WD works like
it should. It has a Ford 9" rear end with 3.50 gears and a factory
limited slip. The front axle is a Dana 44 with 3.50 gears. It is
sitting on some cool Turbine Wheels with 31 Inch All terrain Tires.
What a great looking truck!!
