Crafted for raw speed and bold looks, this 1954 Chevrolet 3100
Restomod truck shows off its Concrete gray finish. Its lowered
setup creates a tough look, matched with 20-inch wheels and wide
255/35ZR20 front and 295/30ZR20 rear tires. Chrome bumpers both
front and rear add sharp contrast against the gray paint job.
All-steel body keeps things authentic, while black side vents work
hard cooling the transmission. A black bed cover made by Craftec
Inc. tops off the truck bed, which houses a fuel cell for improved
performance.
Tan and gray colors blend throughout the interior with a clear
focus on going fast. Vinyl racing bucket seats hold occupants
firmly in place during quick driving maneuvers. The Momo steering
wheel connects to a tilt column for exact control. Auto Meter
gauges show what's happening under stress, while the B&M
Ratchet shifter falls right to hand, next to a big handbrake lever.
For safety, the passenger gets a 4-point racing harness, and a kill
switch on the center floorboard adds another layer of control when
pushing this truck to its limits.
Massive output comes from the supercharged 496 V8 engine, created
from a bored-over 454 block. A Weiand supercharger mounted on a
matching Weiand intake manifold works with a 950 CFM Holley
4-barrel carburetor to make big power. MSD Pro billet distributor
with performance ignition wires handle spark duties perfectly. Long
tube headers run into a FlowMaster exhaust ending in side exits. A
4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission handles all the power, while
Wilwood manual disc brakes slow things down. The suspension
features tubular A-arm front with coil springs and a triangulated
4-link rear using QA1 adjustable coilovers.
