This 1998 Chevrolet Corvette is far from stock. Under the hood, the
original LS has been stroked to 408 cubic inches and built to
handle serious power. With a Scat crank, Eagle rods, and Weisco
forged coated pistons, the bottom end is ready for action. It makes
610 horsepower and 575 lb-ft of torque, thanks in part to a
150-shot Nitrous Express Cold Fission Kit. The system is tunable
and is currently dialed in at 150 HP, making this a serious
Corvette drag car.
Backing the power is a Level 3 4L60E from ARD out of Houston,
equipped with a 3600 stall Yank converter with lock-up. A
transmission cooler is in place to ensure reliability on the strip.
Long tube headers help the car breathe, and the whole setup is
built to handle high-performance use.
This 1998 C5 Corvette wears its power with subtlety but delivers
explosive performance. If you're hunting for a C5 Corvette track
car, this one is already built. Whether you're into drag racing,
weekend cruising, or want to own a purpose-built Corvette race car,
this 1998 Chevy Corvette offers a serious foundation with high
performance.
