Highly original, California blue plate 1963 Porsche 356B Coupe,
offered from single-family ownership from new and finished in its
factory color of Slate Grey (6201) over Black upholstery. According
to the Porsche Kardex, this example was delivered new through
Competition Motors of Culver City, California, to Mr. Dunagan of
Pasadena, California.
The paint displays patina, and the exterior retains much of its
original glass and features original front and rear decklids, both
stamped "48". The front seats have been recently upholstered, and
new German charcoal square weave carpets have been installed,
retaining a VDM steering wheel restored VDO instrumentation, and a
period radio. Riding on 4.5" x 15" chrome slotted wheels mounted to
165 80 R15 tires. The undercarriage is solid and rust-free and has
been stripped to steel and recoated with Wurth undershoot, and the
suspension components were stripped and refinished to factory
specification.
Mechanically, this 356 is powered by a matching 1600cc flat-four
Normal engine (Type 616/1), producing 60 horsepower through a
four-speed manual transmission (Type 741). Braking is a four-wheel
hydraulic drum system that European Collectibles have recently
rebuilt, and a comprehensive engine tune was completed. Offered
with the Porsche Kardex, original California title (pink slip), and
spare wheel. This well-preserved 356B Coupe represents an
