Convertible for your consideration. This Firebird is powered by a
400 cubic inch V8 paired with a 200-4R automatic transmission with
overdrive, and it's geared to a 3.90 Posi traction rear end.
Finished in sleek Black over a matching Black interior, this car
underwent a complete frame-off restoration in 2007 and presents in
excellent condition. Performance upgrades include a Holley 670
Street Avenger carburetor, Edelbrock intake, GM HEI electronic
ignition, Nunzi 2041 camshaft (288/302 duration), and D-port long
branch factory headers connected to a 2.5-inch exhaust system with
an X crossover. Handling is enhanced with front and rear sway bars,
subframe connectors, and a 12:1 ratio power steering box. Stopping
power is provided by power disc brakes up front and drum brakes in
the rear. Additional features include a power-operated convertible
top, Rally wheels with chrome trim rings, red HO racing stripe,
all-new interior, crank windows, a spacious trunk, and extensive

The 1968 Pontiac Firebird was part of the first generation of
Firebirds, developed as Pontiac's response to the wildly successful
Ford Mustang. Sharing a platform with the Chevrolet Camaro, the
Firebird distinguished itself with unique styling cues,
performance-oriented powertrains, and Pontiac's engineering flair.
In 1968, Pontiac refined the model with new safety features,
revised taillights, and the introduction of side marker lights to
comply with new federal safety regulations. With a range of engine
options and trim levels, including the potent 400 V8, the Firebird
earned a reputation as a stylish and muscular pony car that offered
a thrilling driving experience.
