I bought this from a long time friend, collector and customer. He
recently retired from his body shop of several decades. Out of 200
muscle cars he has owned, he kept this one the longest, 11 years.
The reason: "it's the fastest, most dialed-in and dependable cars
he's owned!" It flew through our inspection process with flying
colors, even the clock works.
EXTERIOR: It's a rust free car that is completely straight, the
gaps are right and the doors close like new. He said "the paint was
done by me, for me!" Repainted LeMans blue and the metallic is laid
out evenly and the clear coat is polished smooth like glass. It's
virtually flawless. All of the exterior trim was replaced, even the
moldings around the door window frames. It has all the SS trim,
dual bow tie mirrors, correct antenna and 427 marker bezels. The
windshield and weatherstrips were replaced. It has a chin spoiler
dressing up the front end. Sitting proud on a set of 15 inch
American Racing wheels wrapped in BFG tires.
INTERIOR: Would you believe this interior is actually mostly
original! It's in excellent shape. The carpet was replaced and it
has correct floor mats. The front seat cover was replaced because
of one small hole poked in it. The rear seat, door panels, dash pad
and headliner are all original and in great shape. It has an old
school style Super Tach II tachometer mounted to the column and an
oil and temp gauge under the dash. The instrument panel is in
excellent shape, it even has a working clock. He did upgrade the
stereo with a Kenwood CD player that sounds great. The complete set
of original seat belts are in place. Original owner's manual and
sales brochure is included. Everything works including the dome
light.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: That's a GM crate ZZ 502 making 502 horsepower!
It comes fully assembled, even with oil in it right from GM! Very
reliable horsepower. It has the GM aluminum heads, bow tie aluminum
intake and a big dual feed Holley carb with electric choke, HEI
ignition system and a set of coated headers. It also features power
steering and power brakes. It's a very clean engine compartment,
everything's proper. The squirters are hooked up, there's a
disconnect on the battery, it has hood insulation, etc. The rubber
splash shields are actually the originals still stapled in place
and the original PTB ink stamp is still on the firewall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Under the trunk lid and the jamb are painted
slick, the weatherstrip is replaced. Inside is clean rust free
metal with a spatter finish. Complete with trunk mat, jack and
spare
UNDERSIDE: It was body off frame restored, every component was
removed from under this car. The front and rear suspension was
completely rebuilt and upgraded with KYB gas shocks and a rear
swaybar. The steering was rebuilt, fuel system was replaced and the
brakes were completely rebuilt. The e-brake assembly is hooked up.
I asked why he didn't convert to disc and he said these brakes work
amazing, better than cars with 4 wheel disc that he has owned!
Great sounding stainless exhaust with crossover pipe and Flowmaster
mufflers. The Muncie 4-speed transmission has a complete M22 Rock
Crusher Italian gear set inside. GM flywheel, easy clutch and
pressure plate. Rebuilt and balanced driveshaft, out back is a
rebuilt rear end with 3.42 posi gears and a chrome cover. The
floors are rust free, original, prepped and painted black.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
Some fortune person is going to get a great muscle car, why not
make it you?
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights.
Our cars are displayed within a museum setting. If you are
interested in a specific vehicle, please schedule an appointment
with a salesperson to view it. Without an appointment, there is an
admission fee to enter the showroom. If you decide to purchase a
car, your admission will be refunded, and you'll receive a one-year
museum membership.
