Vehicle Description
The second generation of the Wrangler also known as the TJ was
introduced in 1996 as a 1997 model and would reintroduce the
circular headlights from the classic Jeep model of the CJ. And
instead of leaf springs, the updated version would feature modern
coil-spring suspension based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. This would
also be the last Wrangler to use AMC-related parts. This particular
Jeep has traveled under 100K miles, is a manual transmission and
features the standard 2.5 Liter 4-cylinder power plant that was
standard from 1997-2002. This jeep has been modified with a lift
and tires but the rest remains stock. It does have its original
soft-top that is complete with some sticky zippers in places.
Furthermore there is some surface rust on the body and the
underside along with other blemishes as you could expect from a
off-road vehicle. This rig starts right up, idles nice , goes
through all the gears, brakes well and goes down the road like it
should. This is a base model with no A/C but all the lights work as
do the gauges. If you are looking for a fun toy for whatever, you
might want to take a look here. We welcome any questions and
inspections. This Jeep is located in our Traverse City
showroom.
