The Chevy II / Nova is a small car manufactured by Chevrolet from 1962 through 1979 and again from 1985 through 1988. Built on the X-body platform, the Chevy II nameplate was dropped during the 1968 model year and Nova was used by itself from 1969 through 1979. This particular example was born with a 307ci V8, a Turbo 350 tranny, a bench seat and it was a radio delete car. Approximately 5 years ago it was turned into a “Sleeper” styled Street Rod by installing a 383ci V8 Stroker with a mild cam that is fed by a 750cfm Holley double pumper with an electric choke and it is sparked by an HEI electronic ignition. Exhaust is handled by Hooker Super Comp headers and a dual 3” performance exhaust system that sounds just plain nasty! The 400+ hp engine is shifted by a performance built T350 tranny and power is put to the ground by a 12 bolt posi rear end with 3:73 gears perfect for burnouts or highway cruising. The interior has its original bench seat that was recently recovered with new door panels and a new headliner. The sail panels and rear package tray are not perfect and it is currently missing sun visors but other than that the interior is extremely clean. It is also very original with the exception of the 3 gauges under the dash and the tachometer on the dash. Everything works as it should but the heater has been bypassed. The exterior has a great stance with its black paint job, black American Racing 15” Rally rims wrapped in newer Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T tires, chrome bumpers, chrome trim and the lack of emblems leave people guessing what it actually is. In fact, the only emblems left are the 307 emblems which were left purposely so people think the car is a just a grocery getter. When they hear the lope of the cam they will know there is something lurking under the hood. When they are looking at your tail lights and hear the rumble of your exhaust as you pass them they will be left scratching their heads. This car is incredibly reliable and can be driven anywhere without concern. The paint is of average quality but the car is very well built and as a result is an absolute blast to drive and is guaranteed to make you smile from ear to ear. Cars like this do not come along often and when they do they do not last so if you like what you see we encourage you to reach out before it is too late!
