The fourth generation Pontiac Firebird Trans Am brought a mild
design change in 1998 along a new aerodynamic look, dual front air
intakes, round fog lamps, and honeycomb rear taillight panel, all
combining for a more aggressive presentation! These changes came in
conjunction with a new power plant, the all-aluminum LS1 V8! Shared
with the mighty C5 Corvette, this new Trans Am quickly becoming one
the fastest production versions produced! In 2001, the WS6
Performance Package returned for even more power and better road
handling capabilities!
Offered here is a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 Convertible finished in
Arctic White over Black Leather interior. It has been maintained by
the same former owner since 2018 and now shows just 62,405 miles on
the odometer! Powered by the LS1 350ci Ram Air V8 producing 325
horsepower and 335 lb-ft of torque mated to a 4-speed automatic
overdrive transmission! Options include Monsoon CD audio system
with equalizer and deluxe steering wheel controls, power folding
convertible top, full dash instrumentation, 6-way power driver
seat, Sport seats with power lumbar support, leather wrapped
steering wheel and shift handle, power windows and locks, keyless
remote entry, cruise control, rear defrost, fogs lamps, ABS brakes
and front airbags!
This car sold new out of Arlington Heights, Illinois to its
original owner of five years, before transferring to its second
owner in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 2007 with just 19,000 miles on
the odometer. A third owner would take possession in 2011 with
33,900 miles and maintain it for the next 7 years. It moved to the
St. Charles, MO area in 2018 where it would remain ever since.
After arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum & Sales, it would be
treated to a full comprehensive service after resting for some time
in our storage facility. This included a new 3-year battery, fresh
spark plugs/plug wires, new engine oil/filter, new air filter, new
drive belts, fresh Toyo Extensa HPII radial tires, new fuel filter,
air conditioning compressor and recharge of the system, along with
