After its initial introduction in 2016, Honda announced an overall improvements for the 2019 model year. The improvements included larger front and rear stabilizer bars, which increased front stiffness by 26 percent and rear stiffness by 19 percent, as well as 21 percent stiffer rear toe link bushings. New specially developed Continental tires and optional Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires were also included. These led to software optimizations to the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD system, active magnetorheological dampers, electric power steering and VSA settings. According to Honda, the car is 1.9 seconds faster around the Suzuka Circuit from prior model year. Visually, the car's previously silver front grille garnish is now painted in the same color as the body. Additionally, a new Thermal Orange Pearl body color became available for 2019. The NSX's hybrid-electric powertrain combines a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with three electric motors for a combined total of 573 horsepower. The V-6, the nine-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and one of the electric motors work as a team to power the rear wheels. The other two electric motors operate independently to drive the front wheels, effectively giving the NSX all-wheel drive.

With further upgrades including AG Luxury Forged AGL-43 Spec 3 Concave Wheels 20" x 9.5 front and 21" x 12 rears, Fabspeed full sport exhaust, BMC Air filters, Giro Disc two piece floating front brake discs, Giro disc GP40 brake pads front and rear, Science of speed sport low rise rear carbon fiber spoiler and Science of speed JB4 tune.
