The Volkswagen Beetle "Pigalle" edition, introduced in 1966, is
characterized by itsunique all-red interior paired with a Pearl
White exterior. This vibrant interior, named after the Parisian
red-light district, included red seat upholstery, door panels,
carpets, and floor mats.
Our example features a newly rebuilt drivetrain including a 1776 CC
4-cylinder engine with 8.5:1 compressionratio, dual port heads, and
an Empi 34 carburetor all with less than 100 miles on them. The
shifting is done through a freeway flyer 4 speed manual
transmission. It has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system
and has a bluetooth ready stereo.
As if a 66 VW Beetle does not have enough character on its own,
this one comes with venetian rear blinds, a Thermador car cooler,
roof and trunk storage racks complete with matching luggage, a
period correct cooler, and a highly coveted 1950's picnic kit. Best
of all we have an official German birth certificate proving that it
is a real Pigalle.
