1953 International L120 series pickup truck. Powered by a rebuilt
220 cubic inch inline six-cylinder engine paired with a four-speed
manual transmission. Recently restored and repainted approximately
three years ago. The truck is mainly used for parades, car shows,
and casual cruising. It retains many original and period-correct
features. The exterior shows a glossy paint job with minor
imperfections. The interior is refreshed, featuring reupholstered
seats and door panels in a color that matches the exterior accents.
One distinctive design element is the hood, which has dual latches
that enable it to pivot from either side or be completely removed.
The truck starts smoothly and runs quietly, maintaining a steady
idle. On the road the four-speed manual transmission proved easy to
operate. While most gauges, like the oil pressure and amp meter,
function, the temperature and fuel gauge read inaccurately. The
truck's brakes and steering responded well, making it a comfortable
ride.
