The best in existence! Only 25 test miles on a breathtaking bespoke
build. The quality of workmanship is out of this world. The custom
tilt bed and hood put it in another stratosphere. Here is a unique
opportunity to own a "once in a lifetime, pinnacle build" that was
meticulously crafted by expert artisans. Really, anyone can brag
about the quality of a vehicle, this is the best of the best.
Michael and I were so very impressed with the owner and builder
when he told us about the build. The amount of care, pride and
effort that went into this truck is insurmountable!
EXTERIOR: Beyond exceptionally impressive! It started as a clean
southern Tennessee truck that was stripped to bare metal. There are
some very significant and many subtle body modifications that were
made, the longer you gaze, the more you will see. Looking down the
side of the laser straight body is satisfying with its smooth
contours and crisp lines. The truck was shaved removing emblems,
mirrors, handles, bumpers and even the rain gutters for a clean
look. The hood was extensively modified filling in the front vents
and turn signals as well as redesigning it to flip forward. The
turn signals were relocated to the lower front valance that was
completely custom fabricated. The bed actually tilts back to show
off the detail of the chassis! The tailgate is also a custom,
smoother version of the original. The panels were painstakingly
aligned with precise gaps that are right on the money. The doors
close easily like a new car and pop open via electric remote key
fob (there is also a manual release under the drivers side rocker
panel). The high quality paint color is called Light Platinum
Metallic and is a 2005 Cadillac XLR color that was tweaked with a
very classy and slightly larger metal flake. It is literally
polished smooth like a piece of glass, and has a reflection you
could shave in. The side trim pieces were hand fabricated from
solid brass then clad with show quality chrome. It also has a
custom hand fabricated rollpan with an integrated license plate
holder. A custom pop up gas door also has a quick fill cap. It was
upgraded with nice bright halogen headlights. The handmade LED
taillights are one of a kind, and the front turn signals are from a
Harley Davidson Night Train. All the glass was replaced, the vent
windows were eliminated for a cleaner looking 1 piece glass. The
rubber seals are brand new. The entire ensemble is rolling on an
awesome set of Halibrand chrome wheels with spinner center caps
that are size 15x10 up front, and a ginormous 1515 out back. They
are wrapped in a new set of Mickey Thompson performance
radials.
INTERIOR: Genuine glove soft leather everywhere! It took 8 cowhides
to cover the seats, behind the seats, center console, dashboard,
door panels, kick panels, and headliner. The leather was custom
dyed at the same time for a perfectly consistent color. The
interior smells great, just like a store that sells quality cowboy
boots. The freshly upholstered buckets offer great support and
comfort, all incorporated with an extremely clean look. They are
equipped with modern 3 point shoulder harnesses for safety. All of
the controls and switches are neatly concealed in the sliding
center console compartment including the electronic push button
transmission selector, ignition key cylinder, stereo, power window
switches, and climate controls. The console also has speakers built
into the side. The emergency brake is tucked away between the
console and driver's seat. The gauges by Classic Instruments were
the ideal choice matching the color and style of this truck so
well. Air vents were added to the dash for the modern air
conditioning system. A new tilt column was custom painted to match
the upholstery and also has a leather wrapped billet steering
wheel. Even the gas and brake pedals are new and upgraded to billet
aluminum. The plush carpeting was custom cut and molded to fit
tight with nicely bound edges.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Professionally built! A 454 block was bored
.030 over making it a 468 cubic inch V8 dyno tuned at 585
horsepower and 589 ft lbs of torque while running on pump gas. It
was assembled utilizing the best parts available, they were part of
a high quality kit which included the crank, rods, pistons and all
the other internals. It was purchased from Reher Morrison Racing
Engines, then precisely assembled by John Dosch of Screech
Motorsports. Everything that could be balanced and rollered
internally was. It has new Brodix heads, an Edelbrock intake
manifold, and a giant Holley carburetor sitting on top. A really
nice set of block hugger headers flank the sides. It is equipped
with modern air conditioning, power steering, and a HEI ignition.
The radiator was replaced and upgraded to a large unit with dual
electric fans. Polished pulleys, a chrome air cleaner, and chrome
valve covers dress up the bay nicely. The compartment has a custom
cut firewall that was completely smoothed, and custom fabricated
fenderwells too. The reverse opening hood is just too cool. Making
things look so clean and tidy is like performing magic; and the
builder of this truck was a true wizard!
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Tilt bed! Super spotless! Custom latches release
the mechanism then the tailgate is held up by self retracting steel
cables. Inside the jamb is painted slick just like the exterior.
The rear wheel wells have been tubbed to accommodate the huge
tires. The side walls have custom made panels that give it a very
clean look. All the painted areas are finished to the same quality
as the body. The floor was redone with nice thick oak slats and
polished steel bands for a refined and classy look.
UNDERSIDE: Brings a tear to my eye! To say its a custom chassis is
an understatement. It has tons of upgrades! This was a full body
off frame restoration and has all new mounts. Up front is a
complete Heidts clip which includes rack & pinion steering, chrome
tubular control arms, and adjustable chrome coilover shocks. Out
back is a custom 4 link suspension that is as pretty as it is
practical. It includes chrome triangulated traction bars, chrome
panhard bar, and chrome adjustable coilover shocks. All 4 wheels
were upgraded with disc brakes that have polished aluminum calipers
and new lines that will stop you on a dime. The emergency brake is
hooked up. It has a beautiful custom bent stainless steel dual
exhaust system with glass pack style mufflers. The joints are
ground smooth and the entire system is polished like jewelry. The
trumpet tips sound like a symphony of mechanical perfection.
Looking up at the 468 cubic inch engine you will see a high torque
starter and tons of chrome. Same goes for the fresh 700R4 overdrive
automatic transmission. It has a custom tubular cross member,
chrome pan and scatter shield too. The driveshaft was
professionally balanced and has a custom made safety loop. The
narrowed Ford 9" posi rear end is impressive with a brand new 3rd
member and a totally sweet polished quick change cover. The battery
is hidden in a custom made box under the truck with a master kill
switch as well. The floors are spotless, and have nice body colored
paint. The frame was custom fabricated and painted to match the
body. From the rear of the cab going all the way back was modified
and strengthened with lots ...for more information please contact
