This U.S version 365 GT 2+2 was produced by Ferrari, September 1969
and shortly thereafter delivered to well-known Ferrari dealer at
the time, Luigi Chinetti Motors, New York City. It's first
registered owner is not on file, but it is known to have been kept
in its first ownership for quite some time. October 2005, the 365
was shown at Euro Fest held at the BMW Zentrum's facility in
Greenville, South Carolina and noted to have 55,000 original miles
at the time and in excellent condition and still in its original
color combination.
In 2012 this 365 GT 2+2 was purchased by a respected Maryland
collector, well-known and respected for having only the finest
within his collection. From 2012 to present, this 365 has
accumulated only another 5,000 miles. While in this collectors care
the 365 has been restored and maintained when and where needed to
bring it to its current, exceptional condition throughout.
Recently purchased by Autosport Designs, Inc., this 365 GT 2+2 is
not the norm. It is one of the finest we have had the pleasure and
opportunity to own. It is head and shoulders above most we have had
the pleasure to inspect. On our recent road test, the 365 performed
exceptionally well with strong power, wonderful gearbox and clutch
and absolutely everything working properly and as intended by
Ferrari when new or even better.
This is a rare opportunity to purchase what is one of the best
driving and performing four-seater Ferraris of all time. One of the
best of its kind, this 365 GT 2+2 is a pleasure to drive with its
power steering and factory air conditioning. It is exceptional both
mechanically and cosmetically, ready for concours showing as well
as ready for immediate road use and grand touring pleasure. Last,
but not least, the sound, oh, the sound from its glorious 4.4 liter
Colombo designed V12 which produced ample power throughout the rev
range to honor its Ferrari name with both power and comfort.
