Cooper Classic has the pleasure of presenting this spectacular and highly original 280SE. What is essentially a one owner car, this 280SE was first leased by its original owner in Providence Rhode Island. She bought out the lease in 1971 and car remained under her ownership until 2021, when it was acquired through her estate by a Massachusetts based collector, who kept the vehicle stored in his collection until it was subsequently acquired by us. This incredibly original 280SE retains it's original Maroon Leather interior, featuring light but beautiful patina, exemplifying the attention and care paid to the car throughout its life. The car is equipped highly desirable options such as a Becker push-button Radio, Kuhlmeister MagneTemp Air-Condition, desirable power windows, and a floor mounted shifter. While attempting to preserve the originality of the car, thoughtful consideration has been given maintaining its spectacular looks, including the refurbishment of the incredible Zebra wood dash board trim, and respray in it's original Beige Grey paint under previous ownership. Cooper Classics has continued these efforts by replacing the convertible top with a brand new unit, befitting of a car with such excellent paint and impeccable brightwork, now presenting as it did new in period. Great attention has also been paid to the mechanical aspects of the vehicle, including the replacement of the heater slides, cooling hoses and refurbishment of the radiator, leading to car that drives just well as it did when new. Comes with spare tire, jack, tool rolls, manual, original lease buy out documentation and a copy of the Mercedes-Benz Data Card
