Description:
This 1956 Citroen 11B is a running project that was acquired by the
selling dealer in 2024. The car features unibody construction as
well as front-wheel-drive, and refurbishment work performed under
prior ownership involved a repaint and an interior retrim. The
1.9-liter 11D inline-four currently needs a tune-up, and the drum
brakes require service. Equipment includes a three-speed manual
transaxle, aluminum stone guards, and 400mm wheels along with gray
interior upholstery a wood dashboard.
Interior:
A two-spoke steering wheel has a cracked rim and frames a Jaeger
150-km/h speedometer with inset gauges for fuel level and charging
output. Supplementary gauges have been added to the left side of
the dash. The seats and door panels have been reupholstered in gray
cloth and vinyl, and color-coordinated carpets are protected by a
rubber mat up front. A wood dashboard fascia has been installed and
sits below the tilt-out windshield, which is operated via a
centrally mounted dial.
Exterior:
The Traction Avant was produced for more than two decades, and
during its penultimate model year it remained available alongside
its successor, the DS19. This 11B Normale rides on a 121.7?
wheelbase and was repainted black at some point in its history.
Exterior details include a louvered hood, a cowl vent, polished
aluminum stone guards, and coach front doors.
Drivetrain:
The 1.9-liter 11D inline-four features a single Solex carburetor
and is mounted longitudinally behind the three-speed manual
transaxle.
