The 2005 Porsche 997 marked a return to classic 911 styling for the
Carrera, reviving the iconic round headlights and more traditional
proportions. Visually, the 997 was more aggressive than its 996
predecessor with wider rear haunches, but retained the 911's
unmistakable silhouette. The 997 model also brought significant
improvements in chassis refinement, steering feel, and handling
precision. Porsche's Active Suspension System (PASM) came standard
on the Carrera S and offered a balance between comfort and
sportiness. This 2005 Porsche Carrera S is a handsome example of
this classic. The original Arctic Silver Metallic finish is
virtually flawless and accented by upgrade 19" Porsche alloy wheels
that mount new Michelin performance radials. The supple Black
leather interior is also in outstanding condition. Porsche provides
virtually all convenience features as standard equipment including
climate control A/C, premium sound system, power seats, sunroof,
driver/passenger airbags, power locks/keyless entry, power
tinted-windows, cruise and tilt wheel.
The Carrera S is powered by a water-cooled 3.8L flat-six rated at
355bhp.The engine features aluminum block/heads, DOHC w/24-valves,
variable cam timing and multi-port fuel injection. A recent service
included a new battery and belts. The 'Boxer' is backed by a
six-speed manual transaxle. The chassis is equipped with power
steering and power ABS brakes with ventilated 13" discs. Traction
control and stability control (PSM) are also standard features. The
Porsche 997 Carrera remains a favorite among enthusiasts for its
blend of classic Porsche design, modern performance and everyday
usability. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"
