The Chevrolet Corvette is well known since its inception but had a
very rocky road in its infant stages, but now are true
collectibles, 1953 was the first production year for the Corvette
and with only 300 built (All were Polo White with red interior)
they are extremely rare, for the model year 1954 only 3,640
Corvettes were produced, still an extremely small number and
available in Polo White, Pennant Blue, Sportsman Red or Black
exterior colors.
These cars feature a Blue Flame 6-cylinder engine producing 150hp
with triple carbs, a Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission
coupled to a Hotchkiss drive; 3.55 to 1 ratio, hypoid rear axle. As
far as options list goes all 1954 Corvettes were outfitted the same
as all options were listed as "mandatory".
A true head turner, collector model and a great addition to any
garage or collection, perfectly at home at any cars and coffee
venue, show field or open air motoring drive one would partake
in.
This Corvette is a 4 owner car from new (one being its caretaker
