This 1966 Ford Mustang convertible was built to be noticed. After
all, we already love these droptops, and when it's done in these
bold colors, it instantly grabs attention. But also be on the
lookout for all the great driving features, too.
This was born a yellow convertible, but Springtime Yellow was never
anywhere near as bold as what you see here. This droptop was
upgraded later in life to a shade that looks more like what comes
on a Dodge Viper. A color upgrade like the means the crisp black
folding roof looks terrific. So this is one of the few convertibles
you'll love to look at with the top up. Plus, there's plenty of
that classic American shine from the wraparound bumpers, GT-style
fog lights, and the upgraded racing-style alloys. So it's a total
package that was meant to make a lasting first impression.
With the flip of a switch, the black roof powers down to reveal an
equally stellar black interior. At first glance, this looks quite
era-correct, right down to the desirable premium "Pony" package on
the seats. But as you look closer, you'll spot some terrific
upgrades. The front bucket are actually more modern seats with
better bolstering for more comfortable driving. Plus, there's a
center console in-between with an armrest and cup holders. The
fresh carpeting, clean dash, and grippy steering wheel are all part
of this great driving package. You even have a retro-style AM/FM
tuner with Bluetooth. That connects to a full stereo system with
Kicker subwoofer. So it has a nice vintage look, but ready for all
the newest cruising tunes.
Under the hood is a correct T-code 200 cubic-inch inline-six. So
many of the Mustangs have traded honest powerplants like this for
big V8s. And while you can still do that, you might first want to
see the kind of attention this long six-cylinder gets at the shows.
In fact, it's easy to take this one everywhere thanks to easy
driving features like power steering and a three-speed automatic
transmission. There have also been nice upgrades like an aluminum
radiator and front disc brakes. And as you look at the
undercarriage photos, the fresh bushings tell you even the details
have received the right investments.
See what we mean about how this classic is both distinctive and a
driver? So if you to stand out in all the best ways, don't miss
this Mustang. Call today!!!
