Vehicle Description
2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited 4x4
"You can call it a lifestyle. I would say for many it's closer to a
hobby. But either way, it's what we enjoy. Our Jeep is something we
take pride in, get joy out of, and is more than just
transportation. I joke, but unlike many cars today the Jeep is
built like a Lego. You can actually work on it, swap out parts,
customize what you want. Whether it's bigger tires for offroading
or a custom top for a Saturday drive, doesn't matter the reasoning.
We can make it the way we want it, we can make it unique. And we
take advantage of that. Ever had something, anything, in your
vehicle that you said, "boy, I wish they had done that
differently"? In a Jeep, you could probably fix that in a few
minutes." From a response on Reddit when asked why owners love to
modify their Jeeps
For consignment, a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited 4x4 with a
title verified 96,866 actual miles and extensive list of add ons
and modifications, both cosmetic and suspension related that make
this one a stand out in a sea of custom Jeeps. It's a one owner
vehicle purchased through Texas Vehicle Exchange, garage kept, and
has never been off road!
Exterior
It starts with Raptor Black Kevlar exterior coating and includes a
custom Amerihood heat extractor hood, Amp Research power running
boards, 20x12 Fuel Rampage two piece wheels, a Road Armor front
stealth bumper with prerunner guard, Rugged Ridge headlight and
tail light guards, Rampage mesh and custom eyebrow grille, LED
lights all around, and a Predator fastback top with dual sunroofs.
A 20" LED light bar is under a Warn Zeon winch but if you need to
be pulled out of a ditch, (unlikely), and four AMI square D-rings
in polished silver are front and rear. To shroud the big meats and
catch slinging mud are Bushwacker Pocket Flares. It's an impressive
looking beast and we could not find any exterior imperfection on
this wild ride.
Interior
As far as we can tell, black plastic door panels are standard here
and the fun begins with custom Platini black leather seats with
silver diamond stitching and silver center stripes with the buckets
in front and bench in the back all looking clean. The seats up
front are heated. The standard dash is surrounded by textured black
plastic. An Alpine 9" touchscreen reveals the navigation and
AM/FM/CD/XM/Bluetooth in the center stack over center mounted
window switches, round vents with robust Jeep embossed rims, the
A/C panel, and netted holder. Then, the center console offers up
the shifter and range selector, side by side while Mopar slush mats
protect the low pile black carpet below it.
Drivetrain
Shrouded by plastic covers and clean plastics, the 3.6 liter 24
valve VVT engine puts out 285 horsepower, fuel injected and set
into motion via a W5A580 5-speed automatic transmission with power
capable of splitting between the two Dana 44's with 4.10 gears,
both Tru-Lok differentials. Power disc brakes are found front and
rear, wearing pads installed at 94k miles. The Mopar radiator is
newer and the plastic oil cooler adapter has been replaced with a
metal unit.
Undercarriage
This revealed rig is clean underneath, evidence that indeed, it's a
street Jeep rather than trail runner. There is some typical surface
rust on untreated heavy metal components, but no errant fluids and
very little street dust at all. Fox Performance shocks and ATS
series stabilizers live underneath, augmenting the 4 link with coil
spring suspension front and rear. A Magnaflow cat back single
exhaust system splits into two tail pipes and exhaust tips.
Drive-Ability
We climb up into this big rig and take command of the tarmac, and
if Superman needed a 4x4, we're pretty sure this is what he would
drive! Even 98 pound weaklings can feel strong and indomitable in
this beast and the knobby Nitto Trail Grapplers provide plenty of
confidence on our relatively smooth test loop, and could probably
handle rocks, snow, and mud too! From this pampered perch, all
functions afforded to driver and passengers work as they should.
While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were
working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these
functions will be working at the time of your purchase.
In 1983, Journey sang, "Make a move across the Rubicon, Futures
knockin' at your door, Take your time, And choose the road you
want, Opportunity is yours.". They could not have dreamed about
this particular Rubicon, but once again, Perry, Schon, and Cain hit
the nail on the head. This is your opportunity to take the road you
want, even if they're all paved!
