The Team at Potzinger Rewerks has over 60 years of combined experience. Peter Potzinger is a Renowned Master Technician with 35-plus years of experience. This 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo was completely repainted, replated, and repaired. Because of the extensive restoration, this is when the odometer was reset. See the Pictures that I received from the previous owner during the restoration process. **
The engine is an OEM original, rebuilt stock motor. Since the Turbo had to be replaced, a larger turbo from the 1989 model was installed in its place. The replacement turbo was sent to Lindsey Racing in Oklahoma City, OK, for testing (www.lindseyracing.com). While at Lindsey Racing, a street chipset was also paired to the car and was installed. The larger turbo increased the horsepower to the '89 stock specification of about 245, and the chipset, Lindsey estimates, brings it to about 285. (See restoration pictures)
The driver’s seat is partially powered, up/down, and the backrest adjusts front and back.
We know the car has option code 474, which includes Sport shock absorbers, but we were hesitant to check off the M030 Sport Suspension Package because it's not worded the same. However, during the restoration, the suspension was fine-tuned to achieve a sports suspension.
When purchased from the previous owner, the odometer read approximately 4,700 miles. It was conveyed that, given the extensive restoration and tribute to the car, it warranted an odometer reset to zero and now reads 5,849.* As noted above, the vehicle has a clean MA title and is lien-free. Between my acquisition of the 944 and the upgrades and additional mechanical work I have invested in, the 944 has an estimated value of $90,000 or more. This is truly a fantastic example of a 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo.
