Vehicle Description
In 1955, the Bel Air received a total redesign. With clean lines
and sports car inspired design, the Bel Air had wide consumer
appeal. The first successful offering of a V8 by Chevrolet, the Bel
Air's performance Was widely recognized as superior in '55. The '55
model-year marked a renaissance for the Bel Air name and greatly
enhanced America's love for Chevrolet cars.
This '55 4-door Bel Air is nothing short of a truly special
example. Recently acquired by Motor City Classic Cars from a
meticulous owner, this 4-door was restored with originality in mind
with a touch of modern added. All around the exterior the car's
Regal Turquoise and India Ivory gleams, a little extra in the
sunlight thanks to a touch of metallic fleck added when the car was
repainted. The car's brightwork gleams and demonstrates how much
this car has been loved. Inside, the matching turquoise and ivory
interior shows extremely well, inviting you to jump in and fire up
the car's 265ci V8. Sliding the car into drive, you realize this
automatic transmission is no Powerglide, but instead a 700-R4
4-speed automatic transmission. The previous owner added this
transmission to make the car highway worthy on nights when he and
his spouse would cruise to drive-ins. With ice-cold Vintage A/C,
this Bel Air is ready to roll.
It is rare that a 4-door Bel Air comes around that is truly special
and captures the attention of those around it. This Bel Air is just
that.
Unless stated otherwise, mileage on the odometer is exempt and
unknown if original.
