Vehicle Description
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the
classic and muscle car business. The 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra is one
of the most famous/infamous/legendary/iconic (pick one!) sports
cars that has ever ruined a hairdo. Coming hot on the heels of Ford
and Shelby's victorious 289 Cobras that won the FIA Manufacturers
Championship and the USRRC in 1965, the monstrous 427's raised the
performance bar so high that the beast went legend at its
introduction at the L.A. International Airport, running 0-100-0 in
under 14 seconds! Accordingly, genuine 427's are
multimillion-dollar investments that few owners dare to exercise,
so a quality tribute like this Superformance Cobra makes a great
deal of sense. Titled as a 1965 Ford Cobra, this jewel faithfully
recreates the visceral thrills of an original car at a (somewhat
large!) fraction of the price. Turn the handles, lift the
functional scooped hood, and you'll find a built Ford 460 big block
with dual Holley carburetors, an enormous aluminum intake manifold,
headers, and MSD ignition that requires an experienced pilot.
Amateurs need not apply. Additional features include a fully
independent suspension with adjustable coilover shocks and front
and rear stabilizer bars, rack and pinion steering, power 4-wheel
disc brakes, a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, front and rear
bumpers, SC-type roll bar and side exhaust, soft top with side
curtains, nose, trunk, and steering wheel Cobra badges, teak
steering wheel, Smiths and Lucas gauges, leather upholstery, and
beautiful Halibrand-style knock-off alloy wheels wearing
appropriately large tires (255/60R15 F, 295/50R15 R). This is a
beautifully crafted machine built for serious speed and it does NOT
disappoint. One more top-shelf road missile from the team that can
make your dream a reality. Nomex fire suit and Snell helmet not
included. Street Dreams (830-997-1950) is a full service dealership
that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and financing
options.
