They say pictures are worth a thousand words. Well the pictures of this car cannot do it justice. It's simply breathtaking. Restored to perfection. Body lines, paint, trim, chrome, interior, all of it. Just amazing.
This one will check all the right boxes for a lot of people. Bearing little resemblance to how it was originally built, this car was meticulously restored and given the options to make it quite a catch today. Born Cameo Ivory with a red bench seat interior according to the data plate and PHS documentation, this car was transformed into what it is today using all correct, OE parts! Even those with a keen eye in reading the data plate codes would ever know. Now sporting an original color for 1965, burgundy, this car was stripped to it's shell during restoration and resprayed. No stone unturned. The correct, 1965 bucket seats in parchment compliment it unbelievably. Again, all correct for a 1965 Catalina. A console shifted, Turbo 400 automatic transmission and the super cool and working factory correct tachometer. Speaking of cool, YES, it has factory AIR CONDITIONING TOO! Yup, it blows ice cold!
A lot of attention to detail on this one at a very high cost. All four manual windows roll up and down like silk. Vent windows, latches and all basic controls, all perform like new. The only hold outs are a non operating factory AM radio and clock. Gauges, lights, wipers, all work great. The perfect white convertible top operates well but the switch can be a bit finicky. Just have to find the sweet spot but will always raise and lower without fail.
Under the hood is a correct date coded 1965 389 V8 with a 4 barrel carburator. A clean, nicely detailed engine bay. This car starts and runs fantastic. Nothing to do but enjoy the drive.
Undoubtedly one of the finest in the country. If you are looking for one of the best, look no further. You can't come close to restoring this car for the ask. I say it all the time. Save lots of money by buying one done and here is one done to perfection.
