This 1972 GMC 3500 Custom (C30) is a really cool barn find from
Pennsylvania. This is a 1 Owner family owned truck that was used on
a farm/ranch in PA to move cattle around. The miles are believed to
be original but we have no way to prove it 100%. The engine still
has the original sticker on the valve cover from 1972 detailing the
build, emissions, etc. This truck was rustproofed when new and
undercoated when new.so the truck is solid. It wa used sparingly
and always stored in a barn with the hay. This truck was ordered
without a bed so it was equipped with a wood livestock hauler type
of bed with sides on. That wood was old and the bed was not in good
condition so it was removed. This truck was ordered with the West
Coast Mirrors that are still on it, Auxiliary Spring, Power
Steering, HD radiator, gauges package, Heavy Front Spring, 350 V8
engine, and the Dual Wheel Conversion.
The body is all original and was repainted because the paint had
deteriorated over time. The body is all original and all steel with
the original floors a rockers. It was painted its original color of
Medium Red about a year go and the paint looks excellent. As stated
earlier the bed was removed and a new Aluminum flat bed was
installed. The underside was left original but the outside of the
frame was painted for aesthetics. The frame is solid and was
undercoated/rustproofed when new. The engine compartment was
detailed and touched up to make it look nice, but it is all
original under the hood.
The interior is all original and stock. It has the original floor
mat in excellent condition, and the original dash, dash bezel, door
panels and seat also in excellent condition. The door sills were
replaced because they were looking rough, but everything else is
stock and original. The gauges all work, the headlights,
taillights, brakelights, and turn signals all work. It has power
steering and power brakes. The heat works, and the horn and
windshield wipers work.
This truck runs amazing and drives excellent. It starts easy and
the 5.7L 350 V8 runs awesome. It is all stock and it still has the
original sticker from GM on the Valve Cover with the specs. The
transmission is the sm465 manual that shifts great with a strong
clutch. It has EatonH052 rear end with 4.11 gears. In the least
year the fluids were changed and the brake system was completely
gone through to make it road worthy. It has brand new wheels and
tires installed in the last year. This truck drives super nice and
it is easy to believe the miles are original. Because we do not
have 100% proof we have this truck priced aggressively.
