1968 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible-an iconic piece of American
motoring history. This two-owner car shows just 66,000 original
miles and retains its matching-numbers drivetrain, offering a rare
combination of authenticity and careful stewardship. Originally
finished in LeMans Blue with a Parchment interior, the car remains
in its factory color configuration, though it has received a
high-quality repaint that brings new life to its striking blue
finish while preserving its classic aesthetic.
Power comes from the original 250ci inline six-cylinder engine, a
smooth and dependable powerplant that has been subtly enhanced for
improved drivability. The original single-barrel carburetor has
been upgraded to a two-barrel unit, providing better throttle
response, while an electronic ignition system replaces the factory
setup for more reliable starting and operation. A new fuel pump was
also installed this spring to ensure consistent performance.
Mechanical upgrades continue beneath the surface, where the front
suspension and shocks have been replaced, improving ride quality
and control. The original front drum brakes were swapped for disc
brakes to enhance safety, while the rear retains its period-correct
drum setup. Steering has been notably improved with a new steering
box and power steering pump, giving the car a more responsive and
confident feel. Completing the updates are new wheels and larger
tires that give the Camaro a bolder stance without straying from
its vintage roots.
