For Sale: 1969 Ford Bronco in Santa Maria, California

Vehicle Description

Up for sale is a 1969 Ford Bronco Sport (U15) wagon nicely equipped with factory options (detailed in the included Elite Marti Report).  The Bronco has original 302 V8, 3-Speed column shifted transmission, and two tops (factory original white hard top and black Rampage soft top).  The truck is finished in what appears to be 69 Royal Maroon, but was originally Pebble Beige from the factory.  The re-paint is older with several small chips and scratches, but is very presentable.  The interior has factory bucket seats that have been recovered, beautiful original front door panels and un-molested, uncut dash.  This Bronco was purchased in 2018, and has had extensive upgrades to the interior, drivetrain, engine, and suspension since that time with all receipts included and clear California title in hand.

Body: No signs of any rust repair and all body panels appear to be original. Dents on both sides of lower grille caused by bumper being bent back which is pictured. Both bumpers have been replaced. The only rust I have found is the typical rust on inner fender skirts which is also pictured. The undercarriage is unrestored original with no rust on the underside of the body or frame.  The original floor pans are immaculate and retain the factory applied red-oxide primer that show no signs of repair.

Drivetrain: All original drivetrain.  Born with 302 V8 engine was professionally rebuild to factory original specs by Engine Tech in Santa Maria with under 1000 miles on it. Engine upgrades include an Edelbrock Performer 289 intake, Edelbrock carburetor, Pertronix distributor and external coil, aluminum radiator, new water pump and silicone hoses with stainless clamps, and a 71 style factory air cleaner assembly to clear the 4 bbl carb.  New auxiliary fuel tank and hoses installed and fuel gauge and under seat tank switch work properly.  The 3-speed “RAT”manual transmission was re-sealed when engine was rebuilt and new clutch was installed.  The Dana 20 transfer case was refinished and new 4x4 shifter and new Toms Bronco Parts (TBP) wheel hubs were installed.  The Bronco runs and drives like new and 4WD system functions perfectly.  The Bronco retains it’s original 4.11 LSD Ford 9-inch rear with original Dana 30, 4.10 gear front axle.

Suspension, steering, brakes, and wheels: The Bronco suspension has been upgraded with Tom’s Bronco Parts 2.5” premium suspension kit.  (Kit includes 2.5” lift front progressive rate coil springs, 2.5” lift rear 9-pack leaf springs w/bushings & U-bolts, 14 piece C-bushing kit [7-degree C-bushings, track bar bushings & rear radius arm bushings], front & rear extended brake hoses, driver & passenger extended e-brake cables, Bilstein 5100 series 2.5” lift shocks)  All bushings have been replaced, with new adjustable track bar and track bar bushings, and HD bump stops front and rear.  The steering system was completely replaced with a new TBP power steering kit, new t-style steering linkage, upper/lower steering shaft, and wood grain steering wheel.  The Brake system was upgraded with TBP premium 4-wheel power disc brakes kit.  The Bronco sits on a set of Mickey Thompson Classic III polished 15 x10 wheels with BFG KO2’s (33x12 50R 15 LT) tires.  Original white deep dish wheels will be included in the sale.

Interior: The interior has been upgraded with rear TBP Quarter Panel Inserts (for soft top), TBP Premium Charcoal Carpet Kit, TBP Full cab floorboard insulation kit, TBP Quarter panel and wheel well insulation kit, a RetroSound Huntington radio w/Bluetooth and dual coil direct fit dash speaker (no cutting of the dash with this installation!!).  Factory original white hard top and black rampage soft top will be included with the sale.

This Bronco runs and drives better than when new and handles highway driving with ease.  It is regularly driven and can be enjoyed as is or would be an excellent candidate for a high-end premium body off restoration.
