Vehicle Description
We built this remarkable GTO with a long-time customer of ours.
This was a true labor of love. The customer has dreamed of owning a
1966 Pontiac GTO since high school. He bought this car around 5
years ago from Arizona. That's important as it's a great place to
find rust-free cars. Originally, he just brought it in for a paint
job, one thing we're well known for. However, once he learned that
we do great paint and much more, we started working hand in hand to
create his ideal GTO. Make sure you watch the included video.
He's enjoyed it. It's won a ton of awards. And now he's having us
sell it. Not surprisingly, he's onto another great car!
We completed an extensive amount of custom and restoration work on
this iconic muscle car. We started with a stock GTO that had a
custom engine already installed. To that, we worked on everything
from complete body and paint, to electric, interior and much, much
more. For metalwork, we created a completely custom engine bay to
go along with the monster of an engine. A new firewall, inner
fenders and radiator surround were mated perfectly to existing
front clip. We then worked tucking the bumpers into the body for a
smooth custom look. We also changed the bumpers from bulky stock to
tidy custom. The antenna was also tucked/hidden to smooth the body
lines. Extensive bodywork, primer and a custom paint choice with
plenty of flake was next.
To see this car in the bright Colorado sunshine is a treat. Chrome
and trim were restored to better than factory original condition
and installed. Inside, the appearance is quite stock. Nice add-ons
include VintageAir air conditioning, a bone stock appearing stereo
that rocks the block. Further additions are an electronic rear view
mirror with GPS and back up camera as well as an ashtray that now
holds an electronic gated exaust system that unleashes the primal
sound of the massive engine. That stealth bonus area also holds an
auxiliary stereo input and amplifier controls. Other fun features
include push-button starter. An upgraded suspension is also
included, along with Wilwood disc brakes with electric powered
assist. In the trunk, we fitted a full custom surround and carpet,
including the GTO and Pontiac arrow for decoration. The trunk also
holds everything from the washer fluid to the battery and the array
of electronic goodies.
The owner will never tell you how much money went into this amazing
car. Neither will we. We can tell you that the asking price for
this beauty is a small fraction of the total cost to completely
restore and modernize this fabulous GTO. Sometimes that happens
with a labor of love. Now it's your chance to get a bargain. This
car - for $169,000 - is simply a steal.
If you are considering one of the classic or collectible cars on
our website, be assured that coming for a personal visit to inspect
first-hand the car that has captured your fancy is very welcome. We
practice transparency in all of our descriptions, but believe that
nothing is as convincing as seeing and touching the car yourself.
Plan a few hours, so you can see, touch, feel and drive the car,
and enjoy a tour of our restoration shops to see 'where the magic
happens.' If your schedule is too committed, we also welcome a
knowledgeable agent visiting for you. Please understand that sales
are final, so the time for all due diligence is before you buy. Our
cars are sold AS-IS, since most are on consignment from owners. We
follow FTC guidelines for all sales and certainly want our future
clients leaving more glowing reports among our reviews!
