leather upholstery. Factory options include a Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46
radio, high-intensity windscreen washer, headlight washers, rear
wiper, comfort seats (left and right), automatic speed control,
amplifier, and sunroof.
Remarkably well-preserved, with original factory paintwork in
stunning condition, complemented by original upholstery in
exceptional condition. The cabin features a leather-wrapped
steering wheel ahead of VDO instrumentation and a Porsche Classic
Communication Management (PCCM) Bluetooth hands-free stereo. The
17" Cup 1 wheels are finished in silver, mounted to Michelin Pilot
Sport 205 50 R17 front and 255 40 R17 rear tires (date code 2024),
and the undercarriage is all original and rust-free.
According to the original maintenance booklet, this 964 was sold by
Porsche Houston, Texas, on December 31, 1990, with 97 miles. Carfax
tracks ownership history from 1991 to 2025 with a linear mileage
progression. The first owner resided in Texas and drove this 964
sparingly until it was sold to the second owner in 2017. Recent
mechanical work includes replacing the oil cooler line from the
thermostat to the engine, installing new power steering,
alternator, and AC belt, replacing valve cover gaskets, and
servicing the front struts and steering rack boots. The sound
system was upgraded in 2019 by Sublime Silverlake in Los Angeles,
California, including front Infinity and rear Kicker speakers for
improved audio fidelity. In 2020, the alternator was rebuilt, and
the fan was replaced by Foreign Sport Technician in Santa Monica,
California.
Mechanically powered by its original air-cooled 3.6L M64 flat-six
engine producing 247 hp and 228 lb-ft of torque, the Carrera 4
delivers its power through a manual 5-speed transmission to all
four wheels, with four-wheel disc brakes. A recent service at
European Collectibles includes a gear oil service, brake fluid
flush, and vacuum connector replacement. Offered with its original
owner's manual, warranty and maintenance booklet, dealer
supplements, tool kit, jack, collapsible spare tire, Porsche floor
mats, and recent service records, this exceptional 964 Carrera 4
represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly original,
well-documented, and tastefully upgraded air-cooled Porsche.
