Presented in a striking color combination of Black (6609) over Red
upholstery, No. 307434 is a numbers-matching example and was the
first year of the early 911S. Delivered initially in Irish Green
(6606) with Black leatherette interior. Factory-equipped options
include an antenna, loudspeaker, raised steering wheel hub, ski
rack, two headrests, Becker Grand Prix radio, seatbelts, expander,
Dunlop tires, and tinted glass all around.
The restored to concours condition with exceptional paintwork,
panel fit, and precise gaps. The interior is in excellent condition
with red leatherette upholstery, Haargarn carpets, a new headliner,
and restored VDO instruments with green script. Rare factory sport
seats with houndstooth inserts and a VDM wooden steering wheel and
horn ring. Rare 1967 4.5" x 15" Fuchs alloy wheels are mounted to
Michelin XZX 165 R15 tires. The undercarriage is solid and
rust-free in exceptional condition and is fully detailed to
original factory specification.
Between 2017 and 2019, European Collectibles carried out a
comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration. The entire body was
disassembled, and the paintwork was executed to show the quality
level, and the gaps and panel fit are exceptional. The interior was
reupholstered with red vinyl, Haargan black carpets, and a new
headliner, along with the dash in the correct German materials by a
well-known Porsche specialist. A wooden steering wheel sits in
front of the VDO instrumentation. The brightwork was stripped and
triple-plated to show condition. The original floor pans were
stripped to bare metal and undercoated with Wurth German undercoat.
All the suspension and hardware components have been finished to
factory specifications.
A marque specialist completely rebuilt the original 2.0-liter
flat-six engine (Type 901/02), producing 160 horsepower. The case
and cam towers were media-blasted, tumbled, align-bored, and
spot-faced. The crankshaft was polished and balanced, with new
gearing installed. Cylinder heads were resurfaced with new valves,
engine tin was powder-coated, and all hardware cad-plated to
original specifications. The matching 5-speed transmission (Type
901) was fully rebuilt with new synchros and bearings. All the
braking components, including calipers, rotors, brake pans, brake
lines, and master cylinder, were rebuilt or replaced.
Accompanied by the Porsche Kardex, restoration receipts, spare
wheel, tool kit, jack, and original owner's manual. This 911S
represents a rare opportunity to acquire an outstanding,
matching-numbers example of one of Porsche's most iconic early
production models. A superb addition to any Porsche collection.
