The heart of the ZR-1 was the all-aluminum LT5 engine, a 32-valve DOHC V8 developed with help from Lotus, delivering an impressive 375 horsepower. Paired with upgraded suspension and braking components, the ZR-1 offered blistering performance and a top speed of over 170 mph. Unique bodywork, wider rear fenders, and special badging set it apart from the standard C4 Corvette, while inside, it offered a high-tech digital display and all the modern comforts of its time.
