The Z06 model made its much-anticipated return to the Corvette
lineup for the 2015 model year. The fourth generation C7 Z06 was
worth the wait! Powered by the highly impressive LT4 6.2-liter
supercharged V8, the new Z06 included elements designed in concert
with the Corvette racing program. Along with its highly advanced
supercharged engine, Chevrolet was keen to tout that the Z06 shared
the same chassis, engine technologies and aerodynamic strategies as
the C7.R race car, creating "an all-new unprecedented Corvette
experience."
This 2015 Corvette Z06 Convertible was specified by the consignor
with an MSRP cresting $101,000 with $17,460 in optional extras. The
Shark Gray Metallic Convertible was selected with a nicely
contrasting Kalahari interior and a Black fabric soft top. Notable
big-ticket exterior options included Black aluminum wheels,
Black-painted brake calipers, Carbon Flash-painted Ground Effects
Package, and Carbon Flash hood Stinger Stripe. Technically, the Z06
Convertible is equipped with a highly modern eight-speed
paddle-shift transmission offering a relaxed street and engaging
track experiences in equal measure. Perhaps most important is the
option code 3LZ indicating the Preferred Equipment Group. This
$8,650 top-level option included both the 1LZ and 2LZ Equipment
Groups along with a leather-wrapped and color-keyed instrument
panel, door armrests, and console, Napa leather seat inserts, a
sueded Microfiber-wrapped Upper Interior Trim Package and more.
The clean CARFAX Vehicle History Report reveals this single-owner
Z06 Convertible was first sold in Western Pennsylvania, joining the
American Performance Collection with 10 delivery miles. While its
CARFAX records three owners, this 3LZ Z06 has always been in the
hands of a single individual and has received servicing at official
Chevrolet dealerships. At the time of cataloging, the car reveals a
very low sub-2,500-mile odometer reading. Renowned for its
exceptional power, speed, and striking design, the world-famous
Corvette Z06 lineage is deeply rooted in motorsports success. This
well-optioned 3LZ offers a rare opportunity to acquire a near-new
example of one of the fastest convertible C7s ever produced.
