Just like people, when a work truck's first life is over, it can
sometimes have a much more fun and exciting Renaissance in
retirement. We can't be sure how many bales of hay or buckets of
concrete this 1947 Ford Pickup may have moved in its previous
iteration, but now, fully repainted in a beautiful Teal Blue
Metallic, redone chrome, woodgrain bed strips, and hot rod-ready
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, we can be sure the only thing
this short bed truck will be hauling today are good times and fond
memories.
Contrasting its cool blue exterior, inside we find a warm red vinyl
interior featuring a sporty three-spoke steering wheel complete
with a Ford logo centercap. A five-pod AutoMeter gauge cluster is
centered around a big 120 mph speedometer, while fuel, volts, water
temperature, and oil pressure monitors flank it on either side. A
large column-mounted 6,000 rpm AutoMeter tachometer sits offset to
the right of the wheel. The spacious bench seat comes with
seatbelts for both driver and passenger, while a woodgrain glovebox
handle stands out as an interesting feature against the white
dashboard.
Under that big steel hood, we find a throwback 239 cubic-inch
Flathead V-8 engine. Upgraded with a single four-barrel Edelbrock
carburetor, this small block exhales through a true dual exhaust
and trick set of Cherry Bomb mufflers to give this truck a unique
sound all its own. Power is funneled through an AOD four-speed
automatic transmission before being sent out to the ten-bolt rear
end before ultimately transferred to those aforementioned American
Racing wheels shod in a matching set of 235/70R-15 Hankook
rubber.

This 1947 Ford Pickup rides on a traditional set of leaf springs
and shocks at both the front and rear. It has been upgraded with a
rack-and-pinion steering unit, allowing it to drive far better than
anyone could have hoped for in the middle of the last century.
Front discs and rear trucks are unassisted and help scrub off speed
as necessary. Although we can't know what sorts of work this truck
did throughout its first life, we do know that it is primed and
ready for a stellar second act. All it needs is the right kind of
fun-loving person behind the wheel. If that sounds like you, then
don't wait another second. Call today! We can assist you with
