This 1970 Torino Cobra grabs attention wherever it goes. The recent complete restoration with Grabber Blue exterior and black vinyl interior make this 429 powered cobra a hit on the road or at the shows. The super slick Grabber Blue paintwork was done very extensively with beautiful details showing not only on the exterior surfaces, but also in the door jams, trunk and under the hood. The two year old Magnum 500 wheels and staggered tires add to the very aggressive stance of this cobra. The engine and transmission were overhauled during the restoration of the car by a previous owner which included many new steering and suspension parts. Other factory options include rotating hood lock pins, traction-lok differential, power steering, power front disc brakes, rear window defogger, dual rear seat speakers (upgraded now), all tinted glass, and color-keyed racing mirrors. The underside of the Torino looks great as well with no rust issues anywhere. Most of the restoration included going back to stock with many parts, but the radio and speakers were upgraded and a newer style carb was installed for easier starts and better performance. The framed Marti Report shows just how rare this 1970 Cobra really is. Of the 429,000 1970 Torinos built, less than 1% were Sportsroof Cobras with the powerful 429 engine. 1,540 of those had an automatic and only 80 were painted the original Medium Ivy Green Metallic (upgraded to Grabber Blue) . Of those, only 34 had the black vinyl bench seats and of those only 1 had the expensive ($214) AM/FM Stereo radio option. The radio is no longer with the car as it was upgraded and now has a stock AM looking radio with blue tooth. There is a small tear along a seam in the rear of the drivers seat near the hinge point. The tachometer is also inop. This Cobra has always been kept indoors since its restoration and is ready to jump in and drive to the local drive-in or car show.
