This 1970 MGB Convertible was acquired by the seller about four years ago. It had been given a cosmetic restoration with partial mechanical restoration in 2017, according to a previous dealer listing, but the seller later found the car needed a full rebuild of the suspension, a brake system refurbishment, a timing chain and clutch replacement, and other details. Although the MG reportedly had a new top when the seller bought it, it was torn, and so he had a new Robbins canvas top installed. All work under his ownership, which totaled about $10,000, was done by Ceres Motorsports, an MG specialist shop in Florida that has since closed. The seller will include full documentation for that work. The earlier cosmetic work included a new paint job in Bracken (a yellow-gold color), mostly new chrome, a new stainless-steel luggage rack, new seals, and a refurbished windshield frame. The interior was also redone at that time, including a new padded dashboard assembly, OEM seat kits, carpet set, door card kit, door seals, and a Nardi wood-rim steering wheel. That work appears to still show well.
