For Sale: 1956 Jaguar XK140 in Dyer, Indiana

Vehicle Description

1956 Jaguar XK140 MC roadster
with the very rare C Type package.

Only once in a great while will you find a Jaguar 140 that is the real deal with all the possible factory upgrades including the “MC” version that make it really special.

This Jaguar XK140 is the very limited MC version, from the factory, with the upgraded C-type package that includes the C-type high compression cylinder head that increases the horse power from 190 to 210, special suspension for better and more precise handling with telescopic shock absorbers, wire wheels, driving lights, windshield squirters, dual exhaust.

It should also be noted that the XK140 has an additional 3 inches of leg room over the previous XK120.  Also this car has the radiator rebuilt in such a way that the top and the bottom are from the original radiator but the rebuilt radiator core has 14 cooling fins per inch which increased the efficiency for the hottest of days.

The exact mileage is not known as the mileage was set back to zero when the car was restored and currently the odometer reads 5,287 miles.

Top this off with everybody’s favorite color for a Jaguar XK140 of British Racing Green with Biscuit leather interior and the tightest, best looking convertible top on a XK140.  The car of course has side curtains to match the top.  Car comes with a full Tonneau cover.

Also with the C upgrade package on this car at 210 hp were known to outrun a 1956 Corvette both on acceleration and top speed.

This is a true and very rare Jaguar XK140 that has everything in place for “show time” or long range touring.  We know of one collector that has a XK140 and if he has a bad day he just goes out and looks at his XK140 in the garage and everything that happened that day is then ok.  This is absolutely a show car that can also be driven long distances as it was meant to be.   Check out the photos to see how beautiful it is!

The XK140 roadster was a true break through design for the 1950s and the British Racing Green on this car is just an overall knock out.
