Introduction: 16,400 actual miles survivor! Outstanding colors,
love the wheels. #s matching 400, 4-speed with the performance
package. Very desirable Trans Am! This was a one owner most of its
life. The car speaks for itself, and the title was marked as actual
miles.
EXTERIOR: Original paint and it looks beautiful! $1700 was just
spent on paint correction and ceramic coating giving it a lustrous
finish. The body is obviously original and also in excellent shape
with no rust or damage. These really come decked out with scoops,
spoilers, air extractors and even a shaker hood. The shaker scoop
has never been modified or cut like most of them. The bright blue
decals still look great too. The weather strips are still soft, the
original glass is still crystal clear. The windshield has stickers
from 5 Trans Am Nationals it participated in. As part of the
Special Performance Package, it has the awesome looking 15x8
aluminum snowflake wheels which are in excellent shape. They are
wearing Coker reproduction GoodYear Polysteel tires ($550
each).
INTERIOR: This has it's original Deluxe interior that shows
practically new! From carpet to headliner everything looks fresh
and proper. The dash is great with machine turned trim and the
Rally gauges. The odometer is currently reading 16,395 and that's
actual! The formula wheel is pristine and the original AM-FM stereo
is still in place. There's a nice surprise on the visor, Burt
Reynolds autograph! Still, the best part is the 4-speed
shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has its original #s matching 400 with
original components. It is very authentic and has had very careful
detailing making it look new. The shaker air cleaner assembly is
complete down to the heat riser tube. The vacuum lines are still in
place, the squirters are hooked up, the overflow bottle is still
there. It features power steering and brakes, there are paper tags
from new still on the booster! There's a few more mystery
signatures on the core support. Most likely Pontiac related and
were signed at the Nationals.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Like a time capsule! Under the trunk lid still
looks new including the original decals. The jamb and original
weatherstrip is mint. Inside is spotless with original mat. The
jack and spare have never been used, it's complete with air
bottle.
UNDERSIDE: It is very clean, original condition under this one! The
suspension and oil pan have had a little careful touching up to
look fresh. The floors are untouched original, never spray painted
and the are as dry as a desert rock! This T/A has the Special
Performance Package which includes stiffer springs and shocks,
larger rear sway bar, constant ratio steering and 4 wheel disc
brakes. Everything looks proper and is functioning properly. The
dual exhaust still has its catalytic converter and chrome splitter
tips but the mufflers have been upgraded with Flowmasters. The fuel
tank looks like new. Looking up at the motor it is clean Pontiac
blue with a correct starter. It has it's #matching close ratio
4-speed manual trans and it looks clean. In back it has its
original 3.23 posi rear end.
SERVICE: We take pride in our cars and reputation. Therefore, we
built a 2 million dollar, 10,000 square ft service center, and
hired a team of technicians to work it. This is so we can sell you
the best cars within reason.
Out of 117,108 Trans Ams produced in 1979, only 8,326 were
4-speeds! This is truly a rare find, they can only be original once
and very few look this good!
For nearly 30 years, I, Jay Grams, have personally written the
highlights for almost every car in our collection. What I provide
is my professional opinion based on my experience with these
vehicles. However, opinions can vary, and I strongly recommend a
personal inspection to form your own view. Our sales team is always
available to answer any questions you may have. One great option is
to request a personalized walk-around video, where we can showcase
the car and share our team's insights. **Our cars are displayed
within a museum setting. If you are interested in a specific
vehicle, please schedule an appointment with a salesperson to view
it. Without an appointment, there is an admission fee to enter the
showroom. If you decide to purchase a car, your admission will be
refunded, and you'll receive a one-year museum membership.
