Factory fuel injection was a rare and expensive option back in
1962, making this Chevrolet Corvette 327 L84 Fuelie one of the
special few produced that year. Silver paint covers the fiberglass
body with clean lines that flow from front to rear, complemented by
bright chrome bumpers and trim pieces. The silver removable hard
top provides versatility while 15" Cragar SS wheels mount 215/70R15
Hercules tires up front and 245/60R15 Hercules rubber out back.
Manual white soft top operation gives you open-air driving when the
weather calls for it.
Red vinyl bucket seats anchor the interior with a floor-mounted
Hurst 4-speed shifter positioned within easy reach. Factory gauges
occupy the dash cluster with clean, readable faces that monitor
vital functions. Red vinyl door panels match the seating surfaces
while carpet covers the floor throughout. An AM radio provides
entertainment though it's currently inoperable. Front seatbelts are
installed for safety.
Numbers-matching 327 cubic inch fuel-injected V8 delivers power
through the original Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. Aluminum
Winters intake manifold feeds the Rochester fuel injection system
while stock-style exhaust manifolds connect to dual exhaust with
MagnaFlow mufflers. Manual drum brakes handle stopping duties front
and rear. Coil spring front suspension with sway bar teams with
leaf springs, shocks, and rear sway bar to handle road
irregularities. The frame shows fresh paint underneath.
