Chassis # 55475 produced on 1/19/56 and imported to Hoffmann in New York and first sold by “Continental Car Co.” Originally ordered in the desirable color combination of Lago Green and Tan Leather interior. Lago Green was the first metallic color Porsche applied to their vehicles.
Overall a very solid car that has had some previous floor and front end sheet metal repairs. Repainted in a variant of its original color Lago Green over 40 years ago. Found parked in a barn in Yuma AZ after sitting 25+ years untouched. Engine was replaced long ago with a 616/5 #731675 from a 1964 Porsche 1600 356C. Transmission is a later 741/0A from a 356B. Previous owner, a Porsche Specialist, went through the fuel system and brakes, making it a nice driver. Restore this early Bee Hive 356A or drive as-is
