Convertible's built to USA specs with about 185 4 speeds and about

1965 Dodge street cars had a lot going for them, particularly the
rebirth of the Coronet nameplate, which had last appeared in the
late 1950s. The 65s had been restyled, and the Coronet title was
riding on a 117 stock wheelbase with 204 overall length. This
midsize model was available in the base Coronet (formerly Dodge 330
grade), mid-range Coronet 440 trim, and upscale Coronet 500 trim,
like this particular example. The new 500 model was added as a
sporty top line model and the convertible model replaced the 440 2
Door Sedan in the Coronet 440 line. The 500 added vinyl bucket
sports seats, center floor console, deluxe door armrests, padded
instrument panel, and deluxe spinner wheel covers.Standard

by obviously only two very careful and mature family owners and
obviously has always been garaged from the elements and is 1 of
only 287 built with the Torqueflite automatic transmissions. The car
boasts the 383/330HP 4 Barrel V8 engine with the correct (2468130)
casting number and its original automatic transmission. The car
also boasts its original AM Music Master radio and heater.
Reportedly the second owner purchased the car in 1975 and drove it
as his primary car for about a year. He had acquired it from the
original owner in Denver, Colorado, some little old lady, as the
story goes. This second owner restored the car as required and had
the engine rebuilt too. It sat in his garage as he rarely drove it
and around the year 2014 he gifted it to his daughter and
son-in-law. They embarked on a premium upholstery restoration after
stripping the car to the frame in Visalia around the year 2015.The
engine was rebuilt about a year ago and has less than 1K miles on
the rebuild. The car also has a performance starter, aluminum
radiator and reservoir, headers and a rebuilt carb. The master
brake cylinder, power steering lines, tires and the gas tank have
all also been replaced. This great driving 1965 Dodge Coronet 500 2
Door Convertible is a mostly all original rare s urvivor from this

kitten - a truly remarkable daily driver that will give any modern
day car a run for it's money! With very few remaining 1965 Dodge
