The new for 1968 Chevrolet El Camino featured a longer hood,
angular side windows, a recessed rear window and a rakish front
end. This style concept gave the owner the amenities of a passenger
car, but with convenience of a truck that has been a favorite with
enthusiasts since it was introduced.

30 over paired with a rebuilt 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission.
The engine features an Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake
manifold topped with a Holly carburetor and chrome Edelbrock open
element air cleaner, polished finned aluminum valve covers, HEI
ignition, upgraded pulleys and brackets, as well power brakes with
front discs. Hedman headers rumble back though a throaty dual
exhaust system equipped with Super Turbo mufflers. Power steering
and heavy-duty UMI tubular upper and lower front control arms ad to
the great driving characteristics of this cool classic.
