For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet Corvette in Fredericksburg, Texas

Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas soaring into our 26th year in the classic and collectible car and truck business and now with lots of garage art to share with our customers. Offered here is my personal car that we bought from the original family that brought it from California to Kerrville, Texas. I bought it about 3 years ago. We will share the before and after. We have done a pretty extensive restoration on this lovely coupe incorporating a kind of stock looking slight Rest-O-Mod flavor. It was hard loaded from new with Factory AC, Automatic transmission, power steering and brakes as well as power windows, and wood wheel. I have a 3 3 ring binder with receipts from the 60's through now. The original engine was replaced in the early 70's according to the notes we have and it wasn't running so we had a 1968 L-79 Corvette engine available in our parts department so I used it to start this project. The L-79 rated at 350 hp came with the Winter's foundry factory aluminum intake manifold and 7 finned aluminum valve covers and we had a new Hydraulic-Roller 365 HP cam system installed and to compliment that a new set of the aluminum Camel Hump fuelie heads, We retired the powerglide and replaced it with a modern 700-R overdrive for modern 70-75 mph driving. We installed a new aluminum radiator with the factory fan and shroud as well as a little electric puller to keep it cool and converted the factory ac to the new R134 refrigerant and it is working. The 64's came all drum so we added a power front cross drilled and gas slotted rotors with red calipers and it stops wonderfully. On the interior we upgraded the red vinyl to red leather, new carpet, door panels and we added a modern retro stereo system with new dual center spears and the rear mounted sound bar with the Corvette logo & fm as well as the Bluetooth option so it is very nice to just play it from the cell phone for an expanded playlist. We removed the old steel wheels and hubcaps added a brand new set of the bolt on replica Knock-Offs and brand new red stripe radial tires. The exhaust is a brand new bolt in factory system which is nice and quiet for cruising. We also put new red top Optima battery and KYB gas power shocks for a nice ride. All the lights have been replaced with modern LED for nice clear bright lighting. All the glass is original except the front windshield.
