1959 Pontiac Bonneville
1959 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Coupe--Motor Trend’s Car-of-the-Year in 1959! This unrestored example has had only 3 owners since new and the most recent family cherished it for 40 years! Very nice original Canyon Copper factory finish with beautiful Jeweltone original leather interior and dash. It still has the “Speckled” Carpet that the Bonneville’s of these vintages are known for. Car has a 389 Tripower 315HP V-8 and automatic transmision. This car was featured in a magazine article and that magazine goes with the car along with an original ’59 Pontiac sales ad. Other accessories include working AM radio, power steering, power brakes, “reel-out” trunk light, fender skirts, and radial wide whitewall tires. The body is extremely solid because of a lifetime of being garaged. It has beautiful original chrome and glass. Car has a mere 87K miles and that is documented by the car’s condition as well as the miles are documented on the title. From a Pennsylvania estate.
The “Wide Tracks” were introduced in 1959 as Pontiac engineers were able to widen the car’s tread width 5”over the 1958 models, giving the new models a broader stance and more aggressive look. This makes the ‘59’s drive very well and they were a hit on the Nascar tracks at that time.
This car starts, runs, and drives well. Perfect for club touring, cruise-in’s, or an awesome piece of garage art.
