FEATURESOUTSTANDING CONDITION & READY TO ENJOY The introduction of
the 1997-2004 'C5' Corvette marked the first all-new iteration of
America?s Sports Car in 13 years. A total redesign and refinement,
the C5 featured a new chassis and a milestone evolution of
Chevrolet's small-block V-8 engine. Dave Hill and John Cafaro led
the Corvette design team and together, they systematically
addressed every shortcoming of the fourth-generation Corvette and
improved, if not eliminated, them with the new model. Power was
delivered by the all-new LS1 aluminum small-block engine featuring
cutting-edge components and delivering 345 factory-rated horsepower
and 350 lb-ft of torque. The new Corvette chassis featured a longer
wheelbase and hydro-formed rails that improved rigidity and reduced
weight. Corvette engineers worked with Hydra-Matic and Borg-Warner
to create new rear transaxles with 4 speeds for the electronically
managed automatic and six speeds in the manual gearbox, providing
an ideal 50/50 weight distribution.Finished in extra-cost optional
Millennium Yellow paint ($600), complemented by a Black leather
interior and matching manual soft top with heated glass backlite,
this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is offered in virtually
as-new condition and presentation with just 10.5k miles of use.
According to analysis of the clan Carfax vehicle-history report, it
appears to have been under long-term single-owner care prior to
acquisition by a Montana LLC. Features and options are many,
including the 6-speed manual transaxle with 5th and 6th gear
overdrive ratios and 3.42:1 limited slip axle ratio ($915). The
renowned Z51 Performance Handling Package ($395) includes a power
steering cooler and stiffer springs and stabilizer bars. The QF5
5-spoke 18- and 19-inch diameter 5-spoke high polished aluminum
wheels ($1,295) deliver road contact with great looks. In addition
to the many corvette standard features and amenities, the 1SC
Preferred Equipment Group 2 ($2,650) includes dual zone a/C, AQ9
adjustable sport bucket seats, a 6-way power passenger seat, fog
lamps, memory package, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with tilt
and power telescoping functions, heads-up display, twilight
sentinel, and electrochromic mirrors. Other options included the
front license plate frame ($15) and B84 bodyside moldings ($395).
Offered in exceptional, virtually as-new condition with low miles,
this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is simply an outstanding
example of the modern evolution of America?s only series-production
sports car. Call us today for a viewing, further details, and make
it yours!
