Fastback B-pillars flow from a black halo band back to the rear.
Twin chrome exhaust tips peak out from beneath the bumper in back
and add to the sporty look. Complementing this curvaceous little
roadster perfectly are a set of factory 17" 8-spoke dark silver
aluminum alloy wheels, all wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza
tires.
Under the hood, you'll find a clean bone-stock engine bay with a
SKYACTIV-G 2.0-liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine that features
direct fuel injection and an aluminum block & head. This 4-cylinder
cranks out 181 hp and 151 lb/ft of torque - plenty of power to
propel this little 2,500 lb car down the road and get your heart
beating faster. The engine is mated up to a 6-speed automatic
transmission with a 7,500 rpm redline. If you're looking for a more
exhilarating experience, just put it in Sport Mode for more
throttle response and higher revs between shifts. Stopping power is
provided by 4-wheel power disc brakes with ABS and low-speed
automatic emergency braking. Out on the road, this MX-5 is
everything you'd expect - quick, nimble, and responsive - it's an
absolute blast to drive!
Open the driver's door to find an exceptionally nice black
interior. The doors feature body-color accents at the top with
red-stitched black vinyl beneath. The doors also offer power
controls for windows, locks, and mirrors. The seats are incredibly
comfortable, heated black leather buckets with red stitching, and
they're both in excellent condition. Between the seats is a center
console that offers 2 storage boxes, moveable cup-holders,
infotainment screen controls, the Sport Mode button, and a black
leather-wrapped shift knob & e-brake lever - both with red
stitching. Where the console meets the dash, you'll find 2 USB
ports, an Auxilliary input, and buttons for the heated seats and
retractable top. The driver is treated to a black leather-wrapped
steering wheel (with red stitching) with touch controls for
voice/phone and cruise control as well as paddle-shifters. The
steering wheel is on a tilt and telescopic column that also offers
a stalk to the left for lights and one to the right for the
intermittent wipers. The wheel frames a trio of round gauges ahead
with a tachometer at the center, a 150mph speedometer to the right,
and a display to the left for water temp, outside temp, fuel,
odometer, and trip odometer. The odometer reads only 8,884 Actual
Miles - and that's backed up by the CarFax and the title! At the
top center of the dash is a 7" touch-screen that offers a back-up
camera, navigation, and an AM/FM Bose stereo that plays through
nine speakers (including speakers in the headrests!). Lower on the
dash are 3 easy-to-use round climate control knobs that pump out
cold A/C and hot heat on demand. Also on the dash are the
push-button start, some cool round air vents, and buttons for the
traction control and lane departure functions. Overhead is an
auto-dimming rear-view mirror with Homelink controls and two visors
with vanity mirrors. Underfoot is black factory carpet topped off
with carpeted factory logo floor mats. Safety features include dual
front and side airbags, forward collision warning, blindspot
monitoring, lane departure warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Around back, you'll find a small carpeted trunk that contains the
original owner's manual and pamphlet portfolio as well as a
tool-kit for operating the retractable top manually (if
necessary).
