Nissan released the Datsun 280Z to the North American market in
1975. It was part of the first-generation Z-car lineup and served
as the successor to the 240Z and 260Z. The 280Z cemented the
Z-car's reputation for offering sports car performance, everyday
reliability and an affordable price. Today, it is valued as a
vintage icon with a strong aftermarket following. This 1976 280Z
coupe is in virtually original condition and it is outstanding. The
exterior is nicely finished in Datsun Orange. It appears to be the
original factory finish. It is in exceptional condition indicating
that this 280Z had a lot of garage space. All chrome and stainless
are excellent and steel wheels are equipped with full factory
hubcaps and mount 14" radial tires. The rear window is fitted with
a full louver shade. The interior is also original. Carpeting,
dash/dashpad, door cards, rubber seals, headliner - all in good
condition. Convenience features include air conditioning, tinted
windows, AM/FM/CD sound system and a full factory gauge package.
Horsepower is furnished by a 2.8L SOHC L28-E in-line 6-cylinder
engine that outputs 149bhp-163lb/ft. It incorporates a cast iron
block, aluminum head, L-Jetronic fuel injection and electric fuel
pump. Power is delivered through a 3-speed automatic gearbox to a
stock rear differential. The suspension is an independent
MacPherson strut design with coil springs, telescopic dampeners and
front sway bar. Brakes are power assisted with a dual master
cylinder and 10.7" front disc and 9.0" rear drums. This Datsun 280Z
coupe will be a handsome addition to anyone's garage. ALL VEHICLES
