Final production year marked the end of an era for this 1988 Jeep
Grand Wagoneer. White paint covers the body with wood paneling
running along both sides. Factory 15" wheels are fitted with
235/75R15 tires. The rear bumper has been painted instead of
chrome, while a single exhaust pipe exits at the rear passenger
side.
Maroon vinyl bucket seats with cloth inserts fill the cabin
interior. The tilt column includes cruise control for highway
comfort. An upgraded AM/FM CD player replaces the original radio.
Air conditioning and power steering are included. The column
shifter operates the three-speed automatic transmission.
Mechanical power comes from a 5.9L V8 engine with single 2-barrel
carburetor feeding the A727 Torqueflite 3-speed automatic
transmission. Manual four-wheel-drive with pull handle engagement
provides off-road capability. Power disc brakes handle front
stopping duties. The R134a air conditioning system features a new
compressor, and recent service includes carburetor, distributor,
and complete tune-up work. An aluminum radiator provides
cooling.
