I’m glad to present this 1991 Pontiac Firebird Formula street-strip restomod. It has a near 35 year history with 4 local owners, who each contributed to its legacy, including myself since 2001 (24 years)
It has stayed true to GM’s original concept: take a regular production car and offer it with the best suspension and most powerful engine you can cram into it!
It is capable of 0-60mph in 4.8s, ¼ mile in 12.5s and best trap speed of 112mph.
Beneath the hood, it is powered by a robust Vortec 383 GM Performance small block crate engine. This powerhouse is equipped with a FIRST EFI TPI intake system, optimizing mid range RPM performance, boasting 400hp/494ft-lb.
The engine is paired with a Tremec 6 speed manual transmission, enhanced with a stage 2 kit. Additionally, it features a durable 31 spline Moser 9" rear end, equipped with 3.89 gears, Eaton Truetrac limited slip differential and 275 series drag radial tires, ensuring exceptional handling and traction.
It has upgraded Wilwood 4 piston fixed caliper brakes on 4 corners ensuring quick stops when needed. Koni’s yellow adjustable shocks and struts along with Sphon tubular suspension system have been installed to complete the hat trick.
Launch control and brake line lock are available for the week-end trip down the drag strip.
On the exterior, the paint has been refreshed and is in excellent condition displaying no swirl marks, oxidation or excessive waxing.
The interior has been spruced up with comfortable Corbeau seats, custom and additional gauges.
Comes equipped with custom vehicle immobilizer.
This Formula has been meticulously maintained, with comprehensive yearly inspection of all components.
