4811-NSH 1965 CHEVROLET CORVETTE MAKO SHARK TRIBUTE CONVERTIBLE
Inspired by the iconic 1961 experimental concept, this 1965
Chevrolet Corvette Mako Shark Tribute Convertible transforms the
standard Corvette into something extraordinary. The Rally Red
exterior gleams with purpose, accented by bold black decals that
flow along its sculpted flanks. Six distinctive tail lights and the
customized front nose with painted carbon graphics honor the
original Mako Shark design. The stance is complemented by 18"
Cragar S/S wheels wrapped in 225/50ZR18 front and 255/45ZR18 rear
tires. Both manual convertible top and removable hard top options
allow for versatile open-air or protected driving experiences,
while the iconic side pipes add visual muscle to this already
aggressive aesthetic.
The black vinyl interior offers a period-correct driving
environment that balances comfort with function. Bucket seats
provide excellent support while the factory gauges - including the
high-horsepower 6500 RPM tachometer and 80-pound oil pressure gauge
- display critical information. The console-mounted shifter sits
within easy reach, and the upgraded steering wheel adds a modern
touch to the classic interior. An AM/FM cassette player provides
soundtrack options as you navigate with power steering. The tilt
wheel allows for personalized driving positions.
A Target Master/Goodwrench 350 V8 crate engine powers this tribute
with impressive force, featuring a 4-bolt main design with a
2-piece rear seal. Edelbrock components include the single 4-barrel
carburetor and intake manifold, with headers directing exhaust
gases to the straight-piped side exhaust system. The 3-speed TH350
automatic transmission handles gear changes while Willwood power
disc brakes with slotted/drilled rotors provide strong stopping
ability. The suspension system maintains Corvette's famous handling
with front coils with shocks and a rear mono leaf spring setup.
