Vehicle Description
Up for grabs is a 1968 AMC Rebel that's far from ordinary. This
rare piece of American muscle has been tastefully upgraded and
packs a punch under the hood. Powered by a strong 360 V8 out of a
1972, this Rebel is built to run with the best of them.
The engine is outfitted with performance upgrades including an
Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake, Edelbrock carburetor, Erson cam, and
MSD Pro Billet ignition setup (distributor, coil, and wires),
delivering a crisp throttle response and aggressive powerband. It
exhales through a dual exhaust system featuring Cherry Bomb Vortex
mufflers, giving it a deep, unmistakable rumble that turns heads
everywhere it goes.
Backing up the powerplant is a stout 727 automatic transmission
equipped with a TCI Breakaway torque converter for firm,
performance-oriented shifts. Out back, the rear end features 3.55
gears, giving this Rebel the perfect balance of streetability and
off-the-line acceleration.
